Terms of Service

1. Agreement to Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern access to and use of the Finalshot website, the Finalvision console, and Finalshot Media services (together, the "Service"), operated by Finalshot ("we," "us," or "our"). By creating an account or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

Needs from legal: the registered business name and entity type, and confirmation that a click-through acceptance (rather than just "by using") is required for enforceability in our jurisdiction.

2. Accounts and Access

The console does not have open sign-up. An administrator must add your email address to an access list before you can register. You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for all activity under your account. Notify us if you suspect unauthorized access.

We may remove your access at any time, for any reason, including at the request of an administrator on your program. Removing access deletes the associated account.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Attempt to access accounts, teams, or data that are not your own.
  • Circumvent, probe, or interfere with the access whitelist or any security control.
  • Upload footage or data you do not have the right to share with us.
  • Use the feedback tool to submit anything unlawful, abusive, or deceptive.
  • Use the Service to build a competing product or to scrape it at scale.

4. Program and Team Data

Coaches and staff who enter rosters, match data, or footage into the console ("Program Data") retain ownership of that data. By submitting it, you grant us a license to store, process, and display it back to your program's accounts as part of operating the Service, including running the video and movement analysis described in our Privacy Policy.

You are responsible for having the right to submit data about the athletes on your roster, including any athletes who are minors, and for your program's own compliance with school, league, or parental-consent requirements that apply to you independent of these Terms.

Needs from legal: whether we should require an affirmative representation from each program (checkbox or signed agreement) confirming they have the right to submit data about minors, rather than relying on this clause alone.

5. Finalshot Media Services

Photography and video services offered under Finalshot Media are arranged directly with us, outside of the console. Pricing shown on this site is a starting estimate; the actual scope, price, and delivery timeline for any shoot are agreed separately before booking.

Needs from legal: a real booking/cancellation policy, deposit terms if any, and image usage/licensing terms (who can use the resulting photos and video, and how) — none of that exists yet and should be added once the business decides its policy.

6. Intellectual Property

The Service itself — its software, design, and the Finalshot and Finalvision names and marks — is owned by us. These Terms do not grant you any rights to it beyond what is needed to use the Service as intended. Program Data remains yours, as described above.

7. Service Availability and Changes

Finalvision is an early-stage product. Features described as in development, coming soon, or in preview are not guaranteed to ship on any particular timeline, and we may change or discontinue features. We will try to give notice of changes that materially affect existing accounts, but are not obligated to.

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that analysis, tracking, or measurement produced by the Service is complete or free of error, and it should not be the sole basis for a decision with real consequences (for example, a roster, recruiting, or medical decision).

Needs from legal: confirm this disclaimer is strong enough given the product measures athlete performance — consider whether an explicit "not medical or safety advice" line is needed given the sports context.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Finalshot will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits or data, arising from your use of the Service.

Needs from legal: a liability cap (e.g., fees paid in the prior 12 months) appropriate to our jurisdiction and risk tolerance — none is set here.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the Service at any time, with or without cause. You may stop using the Service at any time. Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination (including intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitation of liability) will survive.

11. Governing Law and Disputes

Needs from legal: the governing state/country law, venue, and whether disputes are resolved through arbitration or in court — none of that is decided yet, so no clause is included here rather than guessing at one.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms as the Service changes. If we make a material change, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify account holders.
